O frio hostil, as poucas cores, a intensidade do branco e os longos períodos de baixa luminosidade, além da escassez de materiais, levam a um design limpo, claro e funcional, em que a beleza está na linha exata e necessária e nunca no excesso.

“O produto escandinavo consegue combinar a funcionalidade com a fusão de formas humanas e naturais. Embora seja industrial, ele tem uma qualidade percebida típica do produto artesanal”, afirma Leonardo Mangiavacchi, diretor da escola de design do Instituto Europeo di Design (IED), em São Paulo.
